
IN REMEMBERANCE

On behalf of my family, I would like to say a Huge Thank You! to our square dance family for all of the cards, prayers, and words of support during my mother's illness. My mom & dad used to be 3-4 night a week square dancers in the 70's & 80's.
Shirley Jean Sumpter, 70, passed away June 26, 2008. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., she resided in Akron, OH where she retired from Montgomery Ward after 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Sumpter; her children, Patricia Sumpter, Michael (Connie) Sumpter; brothers, Denver (Linda) Kitzmiller, R.C. (Snooks) Kitzmiller; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Joel) Adamski, Jason Sumpter; and her beloved great-grandson, Dylan Adamski. Also left behind to mourn her are her animals, Rascal, Whiskers and Gypsy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Lizzie Kitzmiller; brothers, William Kitzmiller, Virgil (Buck) Kitzmiller, Jimmy Kitzmiller, Frank Kitzmiller; and sisters, Betty Mae Starnes and Hazel Johnson.
